India provided Britain with a massive volunteer army in the its hour of need. Nearly 1.5 million Indian service personnel (one in six) served during 1914-18, fighting in all major theatres of war. Through this award-winning exhibition we aim to highlight the remarkable but largley forgotten contribution of India and its people in WW1.
The exhibition have some rare documents and operational multi-lingual trench maps that have not been seen in public for over a 100 years. There are amazing research based facts and figures lesser known to public.
Lord Lieutenant of Berkshire described the exhibition as "truly inspirational and very educational. It desrves a much wider telling and appreciation."
Wokingham Remebrers columnist wrote,"It is a stunning story very skillfully presented by the organisers."
